Grants to USA academic institutions to offer a research training fellowship to advance the field of headache medicine. Funds will support salary and fellow benefits. Preference will be given to applicant institutions that have strong mentoring programs and a strong training focus on education, independent research, and clinical practice. Preference will also be given to programs that are located in states underserved by number of headache medicine fellowships and serving an underserved population.

The purpose of the award is to recognize accomplishments and leadership in communications, branding, and marketing. Nominees may be employed by large national or international organizations, or by smaller regional or local organizations.

Grants to USA and territories agencies, nonprofit organizations, school districts, IHEs, private educational entities, housing authorities, businesses, and tribes to address substance abuse among youth. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for community coalitions addressing youth substance use that have not yet previously received a DFC grant. The purpose of the funding program is to mobilize community leaders in identifying and responding to the drug problems unique to their community and changing local community environmental conditions tied to substance use.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA journalists to cover costs incurred while researching and writing groundbreaking stories. Prior to submitting an application, applicants must obtain a commitment letter for publication of the proposed story in a U.S. media outlet. Funding is intended for expenses including equipment rental, document collection, and travel. Requests for small stipends will also be considered.

Grants of up to $30,000 to Ohio nonprofit arts organizations for arts events that benefit the community in eligible areas. Funding is intended for projects that are open to the public, include significant participation of professional artists, and have an implementation plan outlined at the time of submission. Eligible events take place in Franklin County.

Grants of up to $6,000 to Ohio nonprofit organizations and neighborhood groups for community projects to foster health equity in eligible regions. Applicants must contact the funding source to arrange a meeting with program staff prior to applying. Funding is intended for projects that improve the health of local residents. Community Grants are exclusively available to residents in Buckeye-Shaker, Woodhill, and Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International undergraduate and graduate students at institutions of higher education to participate in workshops and conferences related to design and engineering. Funding is intended to support registration fees and help with travel and lodging expenses for full-time students at accredited IHEs who wish to attend the USENIX Conference on Privacy Engineering Practice and Respect (PEPR '25).

Opportunity for a USA post-doctoral professional in the health and research field to participate in a workforce training program. Applicants must contact program staff prior to applying. The opportunity is intended to provide outstanding trainees with the skills required to develop a career in multidisciplinary clinical and translational research in health-related fields. The fundamental principle of the TL1 program is to provide clinical research training that is rigorous and effectively integrated with ongoing medical/clinical education and post-doctoral training.

Grants of up to $50,000 to Ohio nonprofit organizations and government entities for environmental conservation projects in eligible areas. Funding is intended for projects that lead to better management decisions for environmental protection and economic development. The grant program supports activities that promote the protection, preservation, and restoration of Lake Erie or its tributary watersheds within the state. LEPF projects should ideally answer a management question, implement a project, or complete final evaluations of a process or concept.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International researchers from eligible backgrounds to train student researchers. This program is intended to increase the diversity in Parkinson's disease research, while also training new researchers in the field. Awarded researchers must be from underrepresented groups.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International computer scientists and practitioners to participate in a conference about design and engineering. Funding is intended for travel expenses and conference registration for individuals who face financial barriers to attending the USENIX Conference on Privacy Engineering Practice and Respect (PEPR '25).

Grants to Ohio political subdivisions for environmental awareness programs that benefit communities in eligible locations. Funding is intended to promote programming and activities that take place at parks in eligible districts. The program must be conducted in a park area owned or leased by the Miami County Park District.

Grants of up to $10,000 and grants of up to $20,000 to USA and territories nonprofit organizations, groups, and coalitions for social justice activities and projects. Funding is intended for programs within the focus areas of direct action, community organization and mobilization, and healing justice. The Mobilize Power Fund is a rapid response fund that resources gender justice organizations to adapt or pivot their work when met with unanticipated, time-sensitive opportunities or threats to their movement-building work and organizing conditions.

Funding is intended for programs in a range of humanities-related fields and should focus on curriculum development, student enrichment, faculty development, and partnerships.

Grants to USA and US Virgin Islands historically Black colleges and universities in multiple states to enhance the humanities curriculum. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for programs in a range of humanities-related fields. Eligible institutions are located in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, and the US Virgin Islands.

Grants of up to $2,500 to USA qualifying researchers for research projects related to politics, diversity, and inclusion. Applicants must complete required registrations prior to applying. Focus areas include but are not limited to social and racial justice, gender and politics, and accessibility politics. Proposed research projects should be projects that are already progress. Eligible applicants are in the early career stage. First generation students/scholars and individuals from the following historically under-represented racial/ethnic groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

Awards to USA health care organizations to recognize outstanding commitment to serving the community. The purpose of the program is to honor hospitals and other health care organizations for their exceptional efforts to improve health and wellbeing in the community. Applicants should showcase strong leadership within their community, partnerships that help meet community needs, and a breadth and depth of community service initiatives.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations, government agencies, hospitals, and institutions of higher education for studies related to diabetes. Funding is intended for research that will improve health outcomes for people living with Type 1 diabetes. Projects that hold a prospect for transformative breakthroughs that prevent, treat, or cure Type 1 diabetes will be given top priority.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations for research to benefit youth throughout the country. This program funds investigation into how and what type of research is used by policymakers and others when developing policies and programs affecting young people ages 5-25 in the United States. The Foundation's goal is to determine whether improving research use leads to improved youth outcomes. Two types of grants are available: Major Grants and smaller Officers' Research Grants.
